Ang Bayan Human Rights Report
(December 1, 2023-June 30, 2024)


Sa talaan ng Ang Bayan, 48,763 ang naging biktima ng mga paglabag sa karapatang-tao ng rehimeng US-Marcos mula Disyembre 2023 hanggang Hunyo. Naitala ng AB ang 652 kaso (o tatlong kaso kada araw) ng mga paglabag sa karapatang-tao sa buong bansa. Ang ilan sa mga biktima ay dumanas ng 2-3 kaso ng paglabag sa kanilang karapatang-tao. Pinakamaraming kaso ang naitala sa buwan ng Enero (144 kaso).

Sa abereyds, mayroong hindi bababa sa apat na biktima ng pampulitikang pamamaslang kada buwan. Mayroong isang biktima ng pagdukot kada linggo at hindi bababa sa isang biktima ng torytur kada dalawang linggo. Nakapagtala ang AB ng 32 biktima ng pagbabanta, pananakot at intimidasyon kada araw. Hindi bababa sa 15,396 ang naging biktima ng sapilitang pagbabakwit at dislokasyon dulot ng okupasyong militar sa kanayunan.

Sa dalawang taon ng rehimeng Marcos sa poder, naitala naman ang 2,107 bilang ng mga kaso kung saan hindi bababa sa 424,679 ang bilang ng mga biktima. Sa abereyds, mayroong 580 biktima ng paglabag sa karapatang-tao kada araw sa huling dalawang taon.

  • Paglaban sa Batas Militar sa mga pahina ng Ang Bayan

    Paglaban sa Batas Militar sa mga Pahina ng Ang Bayan (Resistance to Martial Law in the Pages of Ang Bayan) is a 400-page anthology of key editorials and news articles published in Ang Bayan from September 1972 to February 1986, during the period of martial law rule under dictator Ferdinand Marcos Sr.

    The book is foreworded by Prof. Jose Ma. Sison, the founding chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Philippines, who also served as editor-in-chief of Ang Bayan from 1969 to 1976.
